Valid (application or notification)

An application or notification falling within the scope of this Regulation and containing the information required for the risk assessment and authorization process.

Vegetables

Live plants and living parts of plants, including fresh fruit, vegetables, and seeds.

Veranda

An external area attached to a poultry house, covered, not thermally insulated, typically fenced with wire or wire mesh along the longest side, where the conditions are those of an outdoor climate, provided with natural and, where necessary, artificial lighting, and a littered floor.

Veterinary medicine

Veterinary medicinal product as defined in Article 1, point 2, of Directive 2001/82/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Viscera

Organs of the thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic cavities, as well as the trachea, esophagus, and crop of birds.

Vulnerable groups

Persons requiring special attention when assessing the acute or chronic health effects of plant protection products. This category includes pregnant and breastfeeding women, unborn children, infants and children, the elderly, workers, and residents with significant long-term exposure to pesticides.
