Quality assurance system

All organized and documented agreements concluded to ensure that materials and objects are of the quality required to comply with the applicable regulations and quality standards required for their intended use.

Quality control system

The systematic application of measures established within the quality assurance system to ensure that starting materials, intermediate materials, and finished products conform to the specifications developed within the quality assurance system.

Quantum satis

[Latin: "quanto basta", Editor's note] The expression indicates that no maximum numerical quantity is specified and the substances are used in accordance with good manufacturing practices, in quantities no greater than necessary to achieve the desired effect, and provided that consumers are not misled.
